Offense: Use of alcohol, violation of quiet hours

Incident: Heard loud chanting at around 11:45 (quiet hours violation). Found Hunter and Andrew in the communal kitchen singing “99 Bottle of Beer on the Wall.” Both inebriated. Both proceeded to sing, then chug a can of beer. Counted 14 ½ six-packs of beer (87 cans). Chanting was down to 76. Unclear if the miscount was due to inebriation or idiocy.

Steps taken: Physically removed cans from their hands/within their reach. Asked where they got the beer. Andrew proceeded to make a noise with his mouth. Noise not recognizable as English. Hunter stated, “Dude, we’re… twenty…one.” Hunter then handed me ID. ID obviously fake. Claimed Hunter was a 7’12” female. Provided Hunter and Andrew with water, tested for alcohol poisoning.

Offense: Physical Assault

Incident: Was administering care for Hunter (checking his pulse). Hunter expressed displeasure about the pulse oxygen monitor on his finger, and demonstrated this by punching me in the face.

Steps taken: Held him in the chair. Monitor showed no (significant) irregularities. Removed monitor from Hunter’s finger. Applied ice to face (mine).

Offense: Gratuitous profanity

Incident: Was continuing to administer care to Hunter and Andrew. Andrew called Hunter a “pussy” for not being able to “take me in a fight.” Accused me of being “a fucking NARC fucker dickless fuck.” Additionally, used an unfamiliar sentence structure (I believe) to imply that I had improper relations with my citations pad.

Steps taken: Continued to provide water and monitor Andrew’s condition.

Offense: Use of alcohol, violation of quiet hours, gratuitous profanity, destruction of university property, indecency

Incident: Heard shouting at midnight (quiet hours violation). Went to kitchen and found Andrew, Hunter, and Thomas (RA, floor 3) drunk. Thomas and Hunter not wearing shirts. Andrew not wearing pants. Shouting was result of discussion of what 6 times 11 was. Thomas saw me, began to throw shredded citations pad like confetti.

Steps taken: Removed remaining alcohol from reach and into supply closet (temporarily). Forced boys to sit down. Administered care. All three boys agreed I was “a fuck bitch [unintelligible] with a fuck of [unintelligible].” Continued to provide care.

Incident: While checking Hunter’s mental status, Thomas and Andrew stripped and exited the building.

Steps taken: Pursued on foot. Both proceeded to jump in Williams Fountain. Bribed them by saying I would let them have one additional beer if they came back and put clothes on. Thomas agreed. Andrew did not acknowledge my statements, but also exited the fountain.

FORMAL STAFF COMPLAINT

Name: Valarie Harper
Position: Cleaning staff for Lightman, Whitlow, and Bridge dorms

Reason for complaint: Unprofessional workplace behavior

Description: I came to Whitlow at 8 am, Friday morning for a normal cleaning. When I scanned in there were several assorted pants, shirts, and two pairs of worn men’s underwear thrown around the kitchen area. The kitchen had what must have been hundreds of empty beer cans, and random scraps of paper scattered all over the floor. In addition to this, I also found 3 packs of beer in the cleaning closet. It took me over an hour and a half, which meant I couldn’t clean the other areas of the dorm. Towards the end a small group of students had gathered to ask me what happened. At this point, one of the RAs—I think Emma Stanton— came down to the common area, clearly drunk/hungover. One of the kids asked her what had happened and she started screaming about “education as a status symbol” and “this is all pointless anyway,” as well as complaining that she wasn’t paid enough. It was extremely unprofessional and freaked some of the first years out.

Reason for complaint: Cleaning staff issues

Description: I came down to the common area Friday morning around 8 a.m., and found Valarie Harper passed out on one of the couches. Her cleaning supplies were spread all around the area, and I noticed the supply closet was open. I had confiscated alcoholic products the night before and stored them in the closet temporarily. I had put four 12-packs of beer in the closet, and five cans were missing. I shook her awake and attempted to provide care, but she just kept repeating “should’ve gone to Florida,” and left without cleaning anything up.
