On turning my nephew into a vegan

The hood be eating everything
alive

even the babies

so I feed my nephew plants
try to make him smell less

bloody

I hear niggas aint
vegans

at least that’s what my brother
told me before
the butchers smelled
beef

slaughtered him

and left his body on the sidewalk to
cook.

Natasha T.
