Emma Roy is an emerging literary translator and queer mother based in the unceded indigenous lands of Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). She holds a BA in translation and creative writing from Concordia University in Montreal. In 2022 she was selected for the the American Literary Translators Association’s Emerging Translator Mentorship in French. Emma lives with her family in a neighbourhood wedged between train tracks, a glass factory and the St Lawrence River.
