In the Middle

Middle, middle-to-lower-middle. So no spending.

Maybe, if we work hard, middle-to-upper-middle. But even then, no spending.

For spending? Upper, maybe upper-middle-to-upper. But probably not, even then.

Because if we made it all the way to upper-middle-to-upper, we probably did it by making not spending a habit.

Because when going for upper-middle, you can’t spend a dime, way down in lower-middle.

Because life, is why.

Then what say let’s go for middle, spend a little?

Middle’s not the best, no—but not the worst, either.

It’s right in the middle.

Five Micros by Fortunato Salazar

They were not a lonely turquoise skateboard wheel made to live all by itself . . . a wheel that anyone could come along and spin, and did.
