low contrast

woodchip super fortress
                               paradise and full of veins
                            take it nude and shoeless
              in the spruces
bare as species
bear as aphoristic clay that means
to laugh immoderately
                                           as a smokestack
                                       in the wet air
                               wet day
                         wide marshes

            today was for practice
and luxury at a price to be afforded
let it march its long pearls
wet heels
                  for recognition
       the moon is throwing
its borrowed pearly light around
dollars, sand dollars, on white sand
  and trains
    the mind’s white looking
              on other rounded things.
