Sophie Duvernoy Sophie Duvernoy is a translator, editor, and writer based in New York City. She holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Harvard University, and an MA in German Literature from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where she worked on the American writings of the cultural critic Siegfried Kracauer. She is the recipient of the 2015 Gutekunst Prize for young trans- lators, and is currently at work on a translation of a 1931 satirical novel by Gabriele Tergit, under contract with NYRB Classics.
