Scarlett Ji Yeon Kim is a theatre director and curator/creator of experience originally from Seoul, South Korea working across genres, media and the globe to conceive socially and metaphysically conscious interactive performance situations and immersive environments that propose new forms of agency. She generates, collages, translates, and adapts text for experiences. Recently she has been exploring the ontology of her poetry as score/script/sculpture of and unto her time-and-space work. She is currently an MFA candidate in Theatre Directing at the California Institute of the Arts, and she received her BA in Theater and Performance Studies and Visual Art with a minor in Poetry at the University of Chicago.
