Sara Borjas is a 3rd generation Chicana and a Fresno poet. Sara earned a B.A. in English Literature from Fresno State and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from UC Riverside. Her poetry can be found in
, amongst others. She is a 2016 VCFA Postgraduate Writers Conference Fellow, a 2013 Community of Writers Workshop at Squaw Valley Fellow, and 2017 CantoMundo Fellow. She is the recipient of the 2014 Blue Mesa Poetry Prize and she has been twice-nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She digs spacetime and astronomy, tiny prints, painting her nails, and oldiez. She currently teaches poetry in the Creative Writing Department at UC Riverside.
