Sammi LaBue

A Brooklyn based writer and educator, Sammi LaBue is the founder of Fledgling Writing Workshops (Best Workshop in NYC, Timeout NY), the author of the creative writer's guided journal, Words in Progress (DK 2020), and is basically obsessed with the feeling of having an idea and writing it down. Some of her other non-fiction work can be found in Buzzfeed, Slate, Literary Hub, and Glamour, among others. She received her MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, is The Penn Review's 2024 Poetry Prize winner, and has recently finished a dual memoir written in collaboration with her mom.
