Robert A. Cmar is a Brooklyn-based writer who recently left a 25-year career in technical writing for the more unpredictable life of storyteller. Over the years, he’s worked as a steelworker, line cook, and gravedigger — experiences that occasionally dig their way into his fiction.
He is currently working on a noir/dystopian novel and assembling a collection of short stories that explore the darker edges of human experience.
He still keeps a shovel handy.
The Offing has experienced a sudden web hosting expense that’s strained our ability to accept submissions, pay contributors, and pay our hardworking, all-volunteer staff. $20,000 will get us to the end of the year, but we need just $5,000 to get us through July. Please donate today if you can.
