Rio Cortez is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and the MFA program at NYU. Her manuscript, I Have Learned to Define a Field as a Space Between Mountains, was selected by Ross Gay as the winner of the inaugural Toi Derricotte & Cornelius Eady Chapbook Prize, and is forthcoming from Jai-Alai Books in April 2016.
