Nafisa A. Iqbal

Nafisa A. Iqbal is a Bangladeshi writer holding an MFA from Columbia University’s Creative Writing Program, where she was awarded the Felipe P. De Alba fellowship by the Chair of the program. Their work has appeared or is forthcoming in Passages North, AAWW’s The Margins, The Rumpus, The Ex-Puritan, wildness, FOLIO Literary, and Fourth Genre among many others. In 2024, she was the finalist for the Waasnode Prize and won the Lascaux Prize in Poetry. Currently, Nafisa lives in Vancouver, a short walk from her old friend, the ocean.
