May-lee Chai is the author of seven books of fiction and nonfiction and one book-length translation from Chinese to English of the 1934 Autobiography of Ba Jin. Her short prose has appeared in The Rumpus, Entropy, Catapult, Seventeen, Dallas Morning News, and elsewhere. She teaches in the MFA program in creative writing at San Francisco State.
