Matt Broaddus just survived his first year as a PhD student in English at UNC Chapel Hill, where he also teaches writing. Before that, he received his MFA in poetry from NYU. His poetry has recently appeared in Barnstorm, Switchback, and Baltimore Review. He is originally from Virginia. Since he moved back to the South, Matt has succeeded in making catfish a more regular part of his diet.
