Korean-born, Los Angeles-based artist, Kyong Boon Oh is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans sculpture, painting, photo/video collages, and sculptural installations, blending spiritual practice with art. Through her evolving practice, which now includes community engagement initiatives like the “Flow with Medium” workshop, she aspires to reveal personal histories as communal destinies that transcend time and space.
Oh received a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BS in Mathematics from Korea University. She is a founding member of SSGOC (Stone Sculptors Guild of Orange County). Her work has been exhibited at Crafton Hills College Gallery, Triton Museum of Art, Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art, ReflectSpace Gallery, Art Share LA, Launch LA, Korean Cultural Center LA, Zolla Lieberman Gallery in Chicago, and Lois Lambert Gallery in Santa Monica Bergamot Station Arts Center. Her work has been featured in Asbarez, Pasadena Star News, FUTURO by the Laboratory Art Collective, Art Matters by Edward Goldman, The Korea Daily, Koreana News, and Moon Journal Press. She was one of the inaugural cohort for the Ellsworth Artist Residency Program at Art Share L.A. and has received several grants including Lakers in the Paint Grant, Community Engagement Creative Grant, and Grove Artist Grant.
