Kwaku Osei

Kwaku Osei was raised in the Philadelphia area. He received his BA at Temple University and is currently attending MICA’s studio art MFA program. He presently works as a substitute teacher in inner city schools where he encounters many social complications such as race and class. In many ways Kwaku uses his experiences to create a satirical narrative about race politics, the implications of color, and the art historical cannon. His recent works are made up of mixed media painting fused with digital technologies.
