Kristen Sahaana Surya is a Tamil American writer. She is a graduate of the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College and a recipient of the PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize, the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference Katharine Bakeless Nason Scholarship, and a Vermont Studio Center Fellowship. Her short stories have appeared in Best Debut Short Stories, The Rumpus, and Catapult. She is currently at work on a novel.
