Kennedy Marie Crowder is a 2022 Marshall Scholar based in York, England. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in English, a minor in Japanese, and a certificate in American Sign Language. She has since completed a taught MA in Black Humanities at University of Bristol and is presently reading for an MA by research in English Literature at University of York. Her current academic work uses quantum theory to analyze Black literary creation. During undergrad, Kennedy enjoyed serving on the editorial board for The Penn Review, F-Word, and Penn Undergraduate Law Journal and worked as a course-embedded writing fellow at the Marks Family Center for Excellence in Writing.
