Katie Shireen Assef is a writer and translator of French and Italian living in Marseille. Her translation of Valérie Mréjen’s novel Black Forest was a Publishers Weekly Book of the Year, and short translations have appeared in publications such as Asymptote, The Dial, Blue Arrangements, and SARKA Journal.
