Kashawn Taylor

Kashawn Taylor is a formerly incarcerated writer from CT. He holds a BA in English and Psychology and an MA in English and Creative Writing. Before his incarceration, he established a strong academic foundation, which he has continued to build upon during his time in prison. His nonfiction has been published by Prison Journalism Project, The Blotter Magazine, and Querencia Press, with work forthcoming on Minutes Before Six and in BULL Lit Mag. His first traditionally published collection of poetry, subhuman, is forthcoming in March 2025 from Wayfarer Books; many of these poems have been or will be published by such journals as Emergent Literary, The Shore Poetry, the Indiana Review, Poetry Magazine, and more.
