Jenessa Abrams
Jenessa Abrams is a Norman Mailer Fiction Fellow and has been awarded fellowships and grants from the Ucross Foundation, the Vermont Studio Center and Columbia University. Her writing has been published or is forthcoming in The Open Bar at Tin House, Washington Square, The Rumpus, The New York Times, Bodega and elsewhere. In 2016, she was named a finalist for Narrative Magazine's 30 Below Contest and a finalist for Glimmer Train's Very Short Fiction Award. Her work was recently nominated for the 2017 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. She has an MFA in fiction and literary translation from Columbia University.
