Ivan Vladislavić is an award-winning author of several acclaimed novels, short story collections, non-fiction and essay works, including The Folly, The Restless Supermarket, Portrait With Keys, The Exploded View, Double Negative, The Loss Library and Flashback Hotel (which brings together the stories from his previous collections Missing Persons and Propaganda By Monuments). His newest book is the collection 101 Detectives. His work is included in the Granta Book of the African Short Story and Sylph Editions published A Labour of Moles in the prestigious Cahiers Series. Ivan Vladislavić was born in Pretoria and lives in Johannesburg, where he is a Distinguished Professor in Creative Writing at the University of the Witwatersrand.
