IOLANDA ZÚÑIGA
Iolanda Zúñiga (Vigo, Galicia, 1975) is an award-winning author in the Galician language. Her first book, Post-it Lives (2007), a collection of music-inflected micro-fictions is considered a contemporary classic and has gone on to several re-printings and a re-edition. She is also the author of the poetry book Amor, amen (2008), the Xerais Prize-winning novel Periphery (2010), and Nights in the Safari: A Manual for Disoriented Lovers (2018), written under the heteronym Marleen Malone. Her most recent book is Natura (2018), which won Best Narrative Work at the Galician Book Gala and has been called 'the great Galician dystopian novel.' She lives and works in Vigo.
