Hannah A. Leceña
Hannah A. Leceña is a resident teacher and the program coordinator of Creative Writing at Philippine High School for the Arts in Makiling Los Baños, Laguna. She won 2nd place at the 72nd Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature in the Philippines and is pursuing a doctorate in Malikhaing Pagsulat at the University of the Philippines Diliman. She is a spoken word performer from Kiamba, Sarangani, Region 12, and performed at Performatura 2023 and 2020, organized by the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Her sugilanon and novels have received several awards, including the Jimmy Balacuit Literary Awards for Fiction, the Satur Apoyon Prize in 2023 and 2020, 2nd place in the PNU Normal Awards for her YA novel Tandong, and the Lampara Prize (middle grade category). She is the author of Jonas: Nobela sa Wikang Sebwano and received the 2022 NBDB Publication Grant for Si Duday Taga-Baybay, a YA novel, and Dinhi sa Amoa, a short story collection in Cebuano.
