Erwin Lian
Based in Singapore, Erwin (“Cherngzhi”) Lian travels the globe in search of the right moment, location, people; capturing them in watercolor and ink. Through plein air, commuter sketches, and paintings of his travels, Lian depicts diversity and evokes a sense of time and place. He has served as an artist in residency at Akiyoshidai International Art Village in Japan, studied in America, and teaches in his home city-state. And you can find his creation, The Perfect Sketchbook, at the intersection of craftsmanship and art.
