Eddie Bruce-Jones is a London-based writer and academic, on the faculty of Birkbeck College School of Law at the University of London. He holds advanced degrees from the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom, and his academic work on race, sexuality, migration, and critical approaches to rights has been published in the Columbia Human Rights Law Review, Race & Class, and the International Journal on Minority and Group Rights. His non-academic writing appears in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Critical Legal Thinking and The Huffington Post. Eddie’s forthcoming book on racism and the law in Germany is titled Race in the Shadow of Law (Routledge). His upcoming project on ancestry and migration combines legal narratives with fiction and memoir.
