Cole Nfonoyim-Hara
Cole is a writer and anthropologist. Raised in New York, she was born in the Dominican Republic with Cameroonian, Afro-Costa Rican, and Indian parentage. Her writing grapples with issues of migration, diasporas, identity, class, and culture. She was previously a mentee with the 2016-2017 Loft Literary Center Mentor Series, a 2017 Minnesota State Arts Board grantee, a Givens Foundation for African-American Literature Emerging Writers fellow, and a VONA Regional workshop alum. Her first short story “Gargoyle” was published in Joyland Magazine. She holds a BA from Swarthmore College and an MSc. in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford. Cole lives in Rochester, MN.
