Bel Olid (Mataró, 1977) authored the novel Una terra solitària (Empúries, 2011--winner of the Documenta Prize), the short story collections Vents més salvatges (Editorial Empúries, 2016) and La mala reputació (Proa, 2012, winner of the Boronat Prize, and the children's book Crida ben fort, Estela! (Fineo, 2009--winner of the Qwerty Prize). She has translated over 50 books into Catalan and Spanish.
