Aldo Amparán is a queer, Mexican American poet, educator, & translator born & raised in the border cities of El Paso, TX, USA, & Ciudad Juárez, CHIH, MX. He is a CantoMundo Fellow & finalist for the Alice James Award. His work has appeared in, or is forthcoming from Black Warrior Review, Gulf Coast, Kenyon Review Online, Poetry Northwest, Quarterly West & elsewhere. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from The University of Texas at El Paso.
