Parviz Islampoor is one of the most prominent contemporary Iranian poets from the Object Poetry (شعر حجم) movement as well as a prominent thinker of avant-garde Iranian poetry in general. Alongside prominent contemporary poet Yadollah Royayi he co-authored the Object Poetry (شعر حجم) manifesto. He passed away in exile in Paris in 2013.
