MaryJay Villavicencio (she/they) graduated from California State University Los Angeles with a B.A. in English and a Minor in Science Fiction. They have published poetry in the international writing workshop, Text & Type, and researched writing pedagogies to find equitable education practices for Latinx and multiethnic first-gen students. She lives in Los Angeles, California.
