Jorge Galán (San Salvador, 1973) is an award-winning Salvadoran poet, novelist, playwright, and children’s author. He is the author of numerous books, including the poetry collections Medianoche del mundo, Ruido, and Apocalipsis líquido, and the internationally acclaimed novel Noviembre, recipient of the 2016 Real Academia Española Prize. His work has received major honors, including the Casa de América Prize for American Poetry, the Adonáis Prize, and the José Emilio Pacheco Award. His work has been translated into multiple languages and presented internationally, including at the U.S. Library of Congress.
