Aurora Arias

Aurora Arias is a Dominican writer known for her sharp, urban take on Caribbean identity. She is the author of two books of poetry, Vivienda de pájaros and Piano lila, and three books of short stories, Invi’s Paradise, Fin de mundo, and Emoticons. Her writing explores themes around the urban and the peripheral, music, displacement, identity, and popular culture. In 2023, she published her first novel, Vida verdadera en el Caribe. Her work has been translated into several languages and published in international literary anthologies.
